Separation from our loved ones can be very difficult! We will explore what it is like for a child and their parent/caregiver when they must separate from one another each and every day. Learn how to recognize separation anxiety in children and caregivers. Try to understand why some children say goodbye so easily to their parents, while other children become a pool of emotions? Explore what it is like as an educator when children in your care find it difficult to separate from you, why it happens and how to change it? Lastly, we will learn how to support children and caregivers that experience separation anxiety.
This event is being delivered by an external organization from the County of Wellington and as such your name and email address may be provided to CMHA for training purposes.
