Sensory Processing: What it is and how it affects us

Alisha Sinnaeve, Occupational Therapist at KidsAbility, will provide an informative introduction to sensory processing—what it is, why it matters, and how it influences our daily experiences. The session will explore all eight sensory systems and highlight the ways individuals may interpret and respond to sensory input differently. Participants will also gain practical considerations and general strategies to better support children’s sensory needs within childcare environments.

This session requires a minimum of fifteen participants. Participants will be notified by email if cancellation is necessary.

Personal information is collected under the authority of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014. The information will be used to administer and manage this event, including registration, and communication. The County will share your name and email address with the external event facilitator solely for the purpose of delivering and coordinating this event.
