Facilitators: Shel Secrett, Pedagogical Leader, EYPRC

Have you been looking to connect with others doing similar work in the early years? Are you curious to explore different spaces and settings to support children and families?

As How Does Learning Happen reminds us, “we must always think, feel, and act in ways that reflect the environment, the circumstances, and most importantly the children, families, and colleagues we have before us in every unique situation.” (HDLH, 2014, p.5) And so this series really is an opportunity to celebrate our common passion and values while honoring and celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of our practice!

This month we have been graciously invited to an open house at Learning Tree Academy Guelph being held from 6:30 – 8 pm on November 13. Registration is required.

Some questions Learning Tree Acedmy is thinking with:

• How do support your children to interact with other children/toys?

• What do your sensory bins looks like?

• What are your ideas for keeping toddlers engaged during circle time?

• What are some ideas that we can incorporate into outdoor play and planning throughout the seasons?

• How do you create a calming area?

• What does your transition from one age group to the next look like? What is your approach to transitions to new programs?

• How do you navigate differing perspectives and opinions to come to a common ground within a team?
