Developing an Individual Support Plan

For many early years practitioners, the thought of developing an individual support plan can be stressful, and many practitioners don’t know where to start. This two hour reflective and interactive workshop will provoke participants to consider what an ISP really is, what factors need to be considered when creating an effective ISP and how our guiding documents such as How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years and the Child Care and Early Years Act guide the development of this useful and living document. Through active learning and engagement, each participant will work with colleagues to create an ISP. Participants are encouraged to come with real scenarios to use to make their learning meaningful.

Participants will be sent an email closer tot he date with the virtual event invite.

Participation is prioritized for child care and early years educators working in the Wellington service delivery area (City of Guelph and County of Wellington). Priority for participation at no cost will be given to Programme and Non-Programme staff who work in the following child care and early learning settings:

Licensed child care (centre-based and home-based)

Authorized Recreation programmes

EarlyON Child & Family Centres

Professionals representing the following groups may be eligible for participation in professional learning if spaces are available:

Enhanced Support System partners

Registered Early Childhood Educators working in school board operated Full-Day Kindergarten
