At the Heart of the Work

Type: In-Programme Professional Learning

Early Years Professional Resource Centre

Sometimes in our busy days we can become caught in the challenges, frustrations, and demands that everyday life places on us, making it harder for us (and our brains) to name and notice the positive aspects that comes from our work in early learning.

In this session, we will explore nervous system regulation as a foundation for discovering the power of positivity resonance on personal wellbeing. Teams will explore tangible ways to tap into the wonderful beauty that exists each day, and the gift of being in relationship with children and their families.

As part of this session, teams will be given a resource to support ongoing learning and reflection together as they take up 50 simple strategies to turn small everyday moments with children into something special. Because when educators and teams can find actions to support our own wellbeing, they become an anchor for the care and the love we carry forward. And that has a ripple effect on our entire community.

This session is a reminder of what truly is At The Heart of the Work.
